Armed Forces Day - Saturday 29 June

Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community. From those currently serving to service families, veterans and cadets.

Daventry supports Armed Forces Day

The Daventry and District Forum come together with Daventry District Council, Daventry and District Welfare Foundation, Daventry New Street Café and Daventry's Royal British Legion to host an afternoon tea event for local residents to support Armed Forces Day.

The event will bring people together in the community, participation in social community events brings about positivity and provides an opportunity for members to get together, make new friends, enjoy refreshments and benefit from social interaction. There will also be an opportunity to see representatives from local voluntary and statutory organisations.

Moulton Community Connector will be serving tea and cakes, and displaying information regarding support organisations.

Raunds Armed Forces Day

The Mayor of Raunds would like to invite representatives from local schools to join him on the steps of the Town Hall on Friday 28 June at 11am to raise a flag in support of Armed Forces Day. Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community.

Rushden Armed Forces Day

​Royal British Legion Honour Walk

Start anytime between 9am and 11am

​Rushden Station

Join the Royal British Legion for a 2km, 5km, or 10km walk. Plus the historic Rushden Railway Station will be open with military based entertainment and stalls from midday to 5pm and the parade starts from Alfred St School Playground at 1pm.

Wellingborough Armed Forces Day

Wellingborough Museum

This year marks the eightieth year since the start of World War Two, with the theme of the event being 'Family at War'. There will be a demonstration of how families cooked during WW2 from 'Family at War', all-day music from 'The Swingsetters' and stalls to browse.
