Op COURAGE: the Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service
Op COURAGE is an NHS mental health specialist service designed to help serving personnel due to leave the military, reservists, armed forces veterans and their families.
Op COURAGE is a new overarching name for the following Veteran’s mental health services:
- the Veterans' Mental Health Transition, Intervention and Liaison Service (TILS)
- the Veterans' Mental Health Complex Treatment Service (CTS)
- the Veterans' Mental Health High Intensity Service (HIS)
The new name was created to make it easier for veterans and those leaving the military to find help.

Combat Stress provide mental health support for veterans and serving personnel through a wide range of clinical therapies, residential treatments and ongoing support. Call their free helpline:
Mind
Mind is a mental health charity that can support you through recovery. They also operate crisis cafes for out of hours support throughout the county:
Warrior Programme
If you are through a clinical recovery but feel you need additional support or tools to manage in daily life, the Warrior Programme provides residential courses to build confidence, raise self esteem and manage emotions. Courses are free and come with a 12-month support package.
