As part of their Warm Spaces initiative, we are pleased to say that all the venues which have signed up to the West Northamptonshire Warm Spaces scheme have now been issued with an Armed Forces Resource Pack.

The Warm Spaces are hosted by Parish and Town councils, and other partners in the voluntary and community sector. These spaces are a non-judgemental, safe, and welcoming place where people can come together to stay warm, and perhaps enjoy a hot cup of tea. The Warm Spaces are open to anyone and are a great source of information.

The introduction of the Armed Forces Resource Pack means that the Warm Spaces will now be able to offer more tailored advice and support to members of the Armed Forces Community. The pack includes information, guidance and contact details for a range of Armed Forces support partners across Northamptonshire, including the DWP, Veterans Community Network (VCN), SSAFA, and Project Nova to name just a few.

If you are a member of the Armed Forces Community and in need of some advice, you can find out more details on the locations and opening times of the Warm Spaces using the directory on the West Northamptonshire Council website.

We are hopeful that this scheme will be extended to the North Northamptonshire Warm Spaces in the new year.

If you would like further information on this scheme and other support available to the Armed Forces Community in Northamptonshire, please contact Covenant.NCC@westnorthants.gov.uk. If you are a community or voluntary organisation who would like to receive one of the resource packs, please drop us a line!
