The latest round of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Awards saw two organisations from the county achieve the Gold Award and three receive the Silver Award.
The ERS Gold Award winners were Goodwill Solutions CIC and Wright Logistics Services Limited and the ERS Silver Award winners were North Northamptonshire Council, Pury Erskine Ltd and West Northamptonshire Council.
Metcalf Commercial Decorators Ltd and Northamptonshire Police renewed their ERS Silver awards.
Bruce Spencer, the Ministry of Defence’s Regional Employer Engagement Director for the East Midlands, said:
We are absolutely thrilled that so many local companies have been recognised with these awards. It has been a difficult couple of years for businesses, and despite that, these organisations have gone above and beyond to ensure our Armed Forces community is supported. They should be very proud of this significant achievement."
Under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, employers support Defence personnel and encourage others to do the same. The Scheme has three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold for organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support for Defence and the Armed Forces community.
